Pottery policies
To ensure everyone has an enjoyable and rewarding experience, please take a moment to review the following guidelines.
Clean up your space. Clay residue and tools can pile up quickly! Please tidy your workstation before leaving. Sponges, water buckets, and cleaning cloths will be available for everyone.
Arrive on time. Workshops start promptly, so we recommend arriving 10 minutes early to settle in and prepare your materials.
Weather or instructor illness cancellations. If we need to cancel a class or workshop, we’ll do our best to reschedule and accommodate everyone.
Cancellation Policy
Cancel 3 days or more before → Full refund.
Cancel less than 3 days before → We’ll try to fill your spot. If we succeed, you get a full refund. If not, payment is forfeited.
No-shows → No refund or credit. You can send a friend in your place!
Missed a Class? (For 8+ week courses)
If you miss a session, you may be able to make up the time on another day at the instructor’s discretion.
Workshops are for adults. If you're looking for workshops for younger participants, please visit our Kids' Workshop page.
Classes are subject to cancellation or rescheduling if the minimum number of students is not met. If we cancel due to low registration, a full refund will be issued.
Tools and clay are included in the price—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm! We recommend wearing clothes that can get messy, as aprons are not provided.
Galerie Acanthus declines all responsibility for pieces that crack during firing.
Are My Pots Ready?
Once your pottery has been fired and is ready for pickup, we will notify you via email or phone. We also update our "Are My Pots Ready?" page on the website when the pieces are unloaded from the kiln. Any pottery not picked up within one month after the final firing will be available for adoption.
Most importantly: relax, have fun, and get creative!
